Hi and massive congrats on your pregnancy!
My name is Luiza, I am the co-founder of New Birth Club, I am also a Perinatal Educator, hypnobirthing practitioner, Birth & Postnatal Doula, Breastfeeding Peer Supporter and Holistic Infant Sleep Supporter.
I currently offer doula support on a shared care capacity with the other half of New Birth Club, Ellie Dunkley
This means that our clients benefit from the support of not only 1 doula but 2 doulas during their pregnancy, meaning at least one of us should always be available to answer those burning questions and provide emotional, physical and educational support.
We don’t always attend the birth together but depending on your requirements, this is something that can be discussed.
We have been working on a shared cared capacity for over a year now and the feedback from clients has been great – so we decieded to make this a permanent thing!
We have a deep understanding of birth and a huge passion for unconditional support. Plus we make birth education fun and approachable!
Birth is serious business but it doesn’t have to be overwhelming!
We have supported a wide range of births… unassisted births (aka Freebirths), planned and unplanned home births, hospital births, midwife led unit births, vaginal births after caesarean (both in hospital and in a home setting), induction of labours and caesarean births.
We have basically witnessed birth happening in all sorts of scenarios, making us a great asset for your birthing team!
Our clients have loved having us in their teams, we are sure you will too!
We have several packages available, visit www.newbirthclub.com to learn more and to book a free consultation.
I will tell you a little bit more about myself now…
I am lucky enough to be a mother to two little humans. It was after my first empowering and completely unexpected vaginal birth that I found myself on a path to becoming a doula. My second birth was even more empowering and I put it all down to the preparation and support I had in pregnancy and the trust that birth works!
Becoming a mother and growing my family was a real journey for me. I completely submerged myself into learning about my body and trusting birth. My first birth was a positive hospital birth. My second birth was an unassisted home birth. Both were powerful experiences and completely shaped my confidence as a new mother and as a partner as well as my relationship with my body.
Quality support and antenatal preparation during pregnancy and birth are essential for a positive birth experience and a confident and healthy postpartum period. I truly believe all births can be a positive experience, providing parents feel informed, powerful and respected. As a doula this is what I hope to bring to all families who work with me. I am here for you and with you.
As your doula I will help you navigate your rights in pregnancy and birth, I will explore birth physiology as well as interventions that may be offered to you, I will give you tools for a positive experience and, above all, I will hold space for you and your family, I will honour your birth and uphold your preferences.
